• Age Criteria: Applicants must be between 18 to 40 years of age as on 010.01.2023. The upper age limit is relaxable by –

1. 1. 05 years for SC/ST candidates
   2. 03 years for OBC/MOBC candidates
   3. 02 years for Ex-Servicemen candidates

Eligibility Criteria:

1. Applicants must be S.L.C. Examination passed or equivalent from a recognized Board/Council of Government of Assam.
2. A candidate must possess a valid Driving License (Cab).
3. Candidate should have registration in Employment Exchange in the State of Assam.

Selection Process:

The eligible candidate shall have to appear in Driving Skill Test to be held at Guwahati. Only short listed candidates will have to appear in Driving Skill Test, the exact date of which will be notified separately in the Official Website of APSC.

Educational Qualifications:

Research Assistant: Bachelor Degree in Arts, Science or Commerce from any recognized University with either Statistics, Economics, Mathematics, Agricultural Economics, Sociology, Anthropology, Social Anthropology, Social Work, Business Administration, Business Management, Geography or Commerce as one of the subjects. Preference shall be given to Honours Graduates.

Inspector of Statistics: Applicants must have at least second class Master Degree in Economics, Statistics or Mathematics from a recognized University or its equivalent.

Eligibility Criteria:

1. The candidate must be a permanent resident of Assam.
2. The candidate must produce PRC issued in Assam for educational purpose/ Employment Exchange Registration certificate / Voter ID card of the candidate or his/her parents will be treated as proof of residency along with the application form.

State Govt. Employees of Assam need not submit any documents regarding domicile proof, however, they will have to submit No Objection Certificate (NOC) from their respective employer.

Educational Qualifications:

Junior Engineer (Civil):

Candidate must have a Diploma in Civil Engineering/Civil Engineering & Planning from any technical institute recognized by the Government. The Diplomas/Courses must be a Regular course.

Diplomas/Courses obtained through Distance Mode of Education, by whatever name called, will not be accepted.

Apart from English, the candidate should have adequate knowledge of at least 1(one) official language of the State of Assam (i.e. Assamese/Bengali/Bodo) except candidates belonging to Karbi Anglong Autonomous Council and Dima Hasao Autonomous Council.

Assistant Engineer (Civil):

Bachelor Degree in Civil Engineering from an Indian or foreign University recognized by the Government. OR, Passed Part A and B of the Associate Membership Examination of the Institution of Engineers (India) and processing a certificate to that effect from the Institution of Engineer only.

Degrees obtained through Distance mode of education will not be eligible.
