Assistant Teacher (Lower Primary School): 3887 Posts

Assistant Teacher & Science Teacher (Upper Primary School): 1433 Posts

• Vacancies: 5320 posts in Total
• Age Criteria: Applicants must be between 18 years to 40 years of age as on 01.01.2023 to apply for the posts. Upper age will be relaxed by –

1. Ex-Servicemen – 2 years
2. OBC / MOBC – 3 years
3. SC / ST(P) / ST(H) – 5 years
4. PwD – 10 years

Educational Qualifications:

Assistant Teacher (Lower Primary School):

1. Senior Secondary (or its equivalent) with at least 50% marks and 2-year Diploma in Elementary Education (by whatever name known). OR, Senior Secondary (or its equivalent) with at least 45% marks and 2-year Diploma in Elementary Education (by whatever name known), in accordance with the NCTE (Recognition Norms and Procedure), Regulations 2002. OR, Senior Secondary (or its equivalent) with at least 50% marks and 4-Year Bachelor of Elementary Education (B.El.Ed.). OR, Senior Secondary (or its equivalent) with at least 50% marks and 2-Year Diploma in Education (Special Education).
2. Passed in ATET/CTET for LPS

Assistant Teacher (Upper Primary School): Graduate from the UGC recognized University and 2-year Diploma in Elementary Education or B. Ed. or D. Ed. (Special Education) or B. Ed. (Special Education) and passed in ATET/ CTET for UPS.

Science Teacher (Upper Primary School): B. Sc. from the UGC recognized University and 2-year Diploma in Elementary Education or B. Ed. or D. Ed. (Special Education) or B. Ed. (Special Education) and passed in ATET/CTET for UPS (Science and Mathematics).

Salary:

Rs.14,000/- to Rs.70,000/- plus Grade Pay per Month and other allowances as admissible as per “The Assam Service (Revision of Pay) (Amendment) Rules, 2019”

Documents Required:

1. Passport Size Photograph.
2. HSLC Admit Card.
3. HSSLC Mark-sheet and Certificate.
4. Any other Mark-sheet and Certificate of higher education.
5. El.Ed. / B.Ed. Mark sheet (1st Year & 2nd Year) and Certificate.
6. Caste Certificate (in case of SC/ ST(P)/ST(H)/OBC/MOBC).
7. Document in support of Permanent Resident of Assam.
8. Certificate NCC (Only B or C Category only), Sports & Cultural (if represented state at National Level).
9. Certificate and Mark sheet of ATET/CTET.
10. Candidates with disabilities will have to enclose certificates of disabilities issued by Govt. authority.
11. Certificate of Ex-servicemen issued by the Director, Sainik Welfare Board.
12. Scanned Signature.

Selection Procedure:

The Selection of the candidates shall be strictly in order of merit considering the reservation for OBC/MOBC/SC/ST(P)/ST(H)/PWD etc. and marks will be allocated as follows –
