Educational Qualifications:
Head of Department (HoD): Applicants applying for the post Professor in Education or Associate Professor in Education (As Head of the Department) needs to have a Post Graduate degree in Sciences or Mathematics or Social Sciences or Commerce or Languages with M.Ed., Ph.D. in Education or any other relevant qualification prescribed by the University Grants Commission for these categories of posts. Diploma or Degree in Educational Administration or Leadership is desirable.
Assistant Professor (Chemistry / Botany / MIL – Assamese / History / Political Science / Economics): Applicants with Post Graduate Degree in concerned subjects with minimum 55 % marks and B.Ed. Degree with minimum 55 % marks can apply for these post. Candidates also need to have NET or SLET or Doctor of Philosophy in the concerned subjects as prescribed by the UGC/NCTE. M.Ed. or M.Ed. with specialization in Elementary Education or Ph. D. in Education will be given preference.
Assistant Professor (Art Education): Applicant with Post Graduate Degree in Performing or Visual Arts with minimum 55 % marks can apply for the post.
Multi Tasking Staff (MTS): Candidates needs to have Graduate in any Discipline with One year Diploma in Computer Application to apply for the post.
Working Experience:
Head of Department (HoD): Candidates with a minimum of 10 years of teaching experience in a teacher education institution for Professor and Eight years for Associate Professor can apply.
Multi Tasking Staff (MTS): Applicant having experience n ITEP Field/Teacher Training Programme will be given preference.
