Educational Qualifications :

(i) Candidates must have Civil Education HSLC or equivalent (For all posts).

Service Qualification :

(i) Constable and Head Constable : Those who retired in the rank of Sepoy to Havildar in Army or equivalent rank in Navy or Air Force.

(ii) Sub-Inspector and Inspector : Those who retired in the rank of Naib Subedar or above in Army or equivalent rank in Navy or Air Force.

Note : Ex-Servicemen who retired as Havildar or equivalent rank but put in service of 15 years or more will have the option to apply for the post of Sub-Inspector instead of Const or HC.

Selection Procedure: The candidates will be selected on the basis of marks secured in the 100 marks Oral/Interview. Preference will be given to those candidates who have a background in Military Police, Special Forces, Special skills, Training.

Constable (Driver / Dispatch Rider / Handymen / Messenger): HSLC or equivalent examination passed from a recognized Board or Council and must possess valid driving license for LMV or MMV or HMV.

Constable (Carpenter): HSLC or equivalent examination passed from a recognized Board or Council and passed prescribed ITI course in trade.

Sub-Officer: H.S. (Science) passed with Physics, Chemistry & Mathematics (PCM) from a recognized Board or Council. The candidates must have obtained pass marks in Physics, Chemistry & Mathematics (PCM) in H.S. (Science) examination to apply for the post.

• Age Criteria: Applicants must be between 18 to 40 years of age as on 01.07.2022. The upper age limit will be relaxed by 5 years for SC, ST (P), ST (H) candidates and 3 years for OBC / MOBC candidates.

Eligibility Criteria:

1. Applicants must be Indian Citizen, permanent resident of Assam.
2. Applicants must register his/ her name with a local Employment Exchange in Assam.
3. Applicants must speak Assamese, Bengali, Bodo or any other State language fluently.

Educational Qualification:

Applicants have to be H.S.L.C. or equivalent examination passed from a Government recognized Board or Council to apply for the post. Along with it applicants also have to have a minimum NCC ‘B’ Certificate.

Medical Standards:

1. General: Candidates must not have squint eyes, and should possess high color vision. Varicose vein shall be considered a temporary disqualification. He/ She must be in good mental and physical health. He / She must be free from any physical deformities and free from diseases such as diabetes, hernia, piles, respiratory diseases or any other ailment that is likely to interfere with the efficient performance of duties.
2. Eye Sight: The distant vision should be 6/6 for at least one eye and not poorer than 6/9 for the other without correction. Near vision should be normal.

Documents Required:

1. Certificate of proof of age. (Admit card /Certificate of H.S.L.C. or equivalent examination).
2. Pass Certificate of HSLC or equivalent examination.
3. Mark sheet of HSLC or equivalent examination.
4. Minimum NCC ‘B’ certificate.
5. Employment Exchange Registration Card.
6. Certificate of Caste from Competent Authority. NO CASTE CERTIFICATE ISSUED BY OTHER STATES WILL BE ACCEPTED.
7. NCC ‘C” certificate issued by Competent Authority, if any (for which the candidate would be claiming weightage marks).

Salary:

Rs.14,000/- to Rs.60,500/-  plus Grade Pay Rs.6,800/-per Month and other allowance.

• Application Fees: Application Fees is not required.
• Selection Procedure: The candidates will have to undergo through Physical Efficiency Test (PET), Written Test, NCC, Oral / Viva-Voce. The final selection will be based on the total marks obtained in the tests. Marks allocated in the tests –

1. Physical Efficiency Test (PET) – 40 Marks
2. Written Test – 50 Marks
3. NCC – 05 Marks
4. Oral/Viva-Voce – 05 Marks
